Selecting the correct ASTM A387 plate depends on operating temperature, pressure level, and corrosion conditions:

• ASTM A387 Gr11: Standard boiler and pressure vessel use
• ASTM A387 Gr22: Suitable for refinery and hydrogen service environments
• ASTM A387 Gr91: Designed for high-temperature and creep-resistant applications

For high-temperature service above 400°C, A387 Gr22 or Gr91 is commonly selected.
